Government Outreach announced a new iPhone application that should help citizens in dozens of US cities and counties report various issues to their City Hall (issues like “potholes that need filling, barking dogs that need quieting, and graffiti that needs removing”).

GORequest uses with your iPhone’s GPS and camera capabilities. You just have to “open the app, select an issue, take a picture, and tap submit” – your issues will then be sent “directly to the staff member at city hall who can fix it.”

Some of the cities where you’ll be able to use the GORequest iPhone app include Santa Monica, CA, Queen Creek, AZ, and Arvada, CO.

“We’ve already helped many agencies around the country dramatically improve customer service through the web, but with GORequest for the iPhone they can now connect with residents on the go,” declared Government Outreach president Kendall Smith.

Government Outreach probably find it in the App Store.

I wonder if the GORequest app will work with the Apple iPad… Uhm, no, it won’t, because the iPad doesn’t have any kind of camera to take photos with.
