Palm has released webOS 1.2, a new version of the system software for the Palm Pre, offering a number of improvements to the Palm Pre’s operating system.

New features include support for the forthcoming App Catalog changes, copy and paste from Web sites, improved e-mail search and faster boot times. Other highlights include being able to search within e-mail folders, download files from the Web browser, and the capability to pause podcasts.
Moreover, Songs can now be purchased from Amazon MP3 over a phone network connection over EV-DO. Then, A new gesture has been added which allows you to swipe down from the top of the screen to open the application or connection menu.
Most notably absent from this update, however, is any mention of a fix to the iTunes synchronization, which was broken by iTunes 9.0
