Sony S-Series Walkman feature a 2.4-inch QVGA widescreen display, stereo speakers, a microphone, a Li-ion battery for a reported 42 hours of audio / 6.5 hours of video, and what appears to be a built-in stand for convenient video watching. These devices arrive as Sony celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Walkman. Black is the only one currently available. The 8GB version is retailing for 129€ ($182) while the 16GB model is selling for 149€ ($211).
Sony S series made it’s first appearance in a leak a couple of weeks ago no specs were known. Two models of the the Sony S-Series Walkman have been leaked namely the Walkman NWZ-S544 and the Walkman NWZ-S545. Both models have very similar features, with the main difference being storage details: 8GB and 16GB. The device is also compatible with iTunes and Windows Media Player. There is also an FM radio player with 30 presents. Formats supported for music include MP3, non-DRM AAC, WMA, H.254, MPEG4, and WMV.
