Haier, one of China’s largest electronic products manufacturers, has announced its intention to launch an Android smartphone later this year. Headquartered in Qingdao, Haier is mainly famous for domestic appliances (freezers, washing machines etc), and its cell phones are sold almost exclusively in China.
